Questions
What is Loopd?
Loopd is a free yard sale finder and route planner. It shows yard sales, garage sales, estate sales and community sales near you on a map, lets you tap the ones you want, and puts them in an efficient driving order so you can hit every stop in one loop and get back home.
Is Loopd free?
Yes. Finding sales, building a loop and posting your own yard sale are all free. Loopd is supported by local businesses that advertise as stops along shoppers' routes.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Loopd runs in your phone's web browser at iloopd.com. You can add it to your home screen if you want it to open like an app.
How does Loopd plan a yard sale route?
Add the sales you want to your loop and tap Preview Efficient Route. Loopd orders the stops starting from where you are so you are not driving back and forth across town, shows the route on a map, and then opens each stop in Google Maps or Apple Maps, one after another.
Can I add sales I found on Facebook, Craigslist or a street sign?
Yes. Paste a list of addresses or type one in and Loopd maps those stops and puts them in your loop with the listed sales. Only you see stops you add from a pasted list. To put a sale you spotted on the map for everyone nearby, use Spotted a sale? Add it.
How do I post my yard sale on Loopd?
Tap Post my sale free, add your name and email, the address, dates, times and a few photos, and publish. Shoppers nearby see it on the map and can add it to their route. Loopd emails you a link to share it, a private link to edit it, and your listing stats.
Does Loopd work for community and neighborhood-wide yard sales?
Yes. An organizer can share one Loopd link for the whole sale. Opening it puts every participating house into your loop at once, so you can preview the route and shop them all in order.
Where does Loopd work?
Anywhere in the United States. Enter any U.S. ZIP code to see sales near it. Loopd also has local yard sale guides for nearly 300 cities in all 50 states.
When is the best time to go to yard sales?
Saturday morning between 7 and 9 AM has the best selection, and the last hour has the best prices. In most of the country, spring and early fall are the busiest seasons.
How can a local business advertise on Loopd?
Businesses can appear as a Loop Stop, a suggested stop shoppers add to their route with one tap. Loop Stops are free for the first two weekends, then $29 a month. Details are at iloopd.com/business.
